Sanibel Island, Florida
After our stay in Orlando we drove down to a small island off the Florida golf coast call Sanibel Island, it also known as Seashell beach. I was figuring a few piles of seashells on the beach, I was wrong. There were seashells everywhere, layers and layers. We found so many amazing ones, the one that Kent was most proud of was the FLORIDA FIGHTING CONCH. We went during an off time so we pretty much had the beach to ourselves, the weather was in the 90's and the gulf water was so warm. The kids played and played all day long. The video below is showing the layers upon layers of seashells!! You had to wear shoes at this beach.

More Florida Pictures!!

We met my brother and his family at the three parks in Florida: Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and Epcot. I was in love with holding Amelia with her chunka legs. She was hot and sticky and wanted her mom but I made sure she got Auntie Season time. I would take her from Brooke and run so that she could not see them. It was the only way I got my time with her. Hayden loved hanging and being with his cousins, he was excited to ride a ride in Epcot with Nathan, Kaycee and I. About 1 minute after the ride started he started screaming bloody murder, his parents were in the cart behind us and he wanted them bad!! He was screaming "I WANT MAMA" "MAMA" "MAMA"-THE WHOLE RIDE, it was funny to me since I have older kids and have been there done that, but poor Mike was getting really frustrated and mad.

We love FLORIDA!!!
We took our kids to Florida the second week of May, (yes we checked them out of school). It was great weather, the crowds were minimal, it was great. We went to Hollywood Studios, Epcot, Magic Kingdom, and Universal Studios (Our kids favorite, by far!! ) We met my brother Mikey and his family there and were able to spend 3 days with them at the different parks. Our friends made us these matching shirts, we had a lot of compliments on them and it was so easy to find each other during the day. Our kids are HUGE Harry Potter fans, so we went to Universal, Island of Adventure to go to Wizarding World of Harry Potter, it was UNBELIEVABLE. The main ride is called "The Forbidden Journey", we rode it 4 times with a wait of 10 minutes or less, the ride is so amazing it is impossible to put it into words. We had some butter beer which we all liked except for Nathan who shuddered after he took a sip. We rode a roller coaster that was for "little kids" and Nathan got off the ride and said "That ride was really fast and really dumb." My kids are thrill seekers, the bigger the roller coaster the better, when Nathan found out he was not tall enough for the thrill ride roller coaster "The HULK" he had a melt down, he was so sad. He wanted to ride it so bad, I don't blame him, it was a really fun coaster.
We loved EPCOT and ran out of time there, they have a ride called "Mission Space", it is a rocket simulator similar to what astronauts would experience taking off into outer space, it was really, really cool. Once was all Kent and I could handle but our kids rode it 4 times. We visited all the countries and sampled food from each, Japan had the best scenery and Morocco had the best food. If you ask the kids they loved France, their desserts were so delicious. When we went to China Nathan ordered orange chicken in Chinese, the manager who was Chinese gave us all free ice cream because he was so impressed. (Nathan is in a Chinese Immersion program) We could have easily spent more time at Epcot. More to come.......

Mariah is 8!
I can't believe she is 8!! For her birthday she invited some of her friends and went to Classic Fun Center. They roller skated, played Laser Tag and jumped in the bounce houses. About 10 minutes before we were going to leave, Kaycee was roller skating and twisted her ankle and fell. She had a hairline fracture on her foot and was in a boot for 6 weeks. Mariah's baptism was so wonderful, her Grandma Low made her beautiful baptism dress and Mariah was so excited for her day. Everyone came back to the house for lunch. It was a great day!
