We took our kids to Florida the second week of May, (yes we checked them out of school). It was great weather, the crowds were minimal, it was great. We went to Hollywood Studios, Epcot, Magic Kingdom, and Universal Studios (Our kids favorite, by far!! ) We met my brother Mikey and his family there and were able to spend 3 days with them at the different parks. Our friends made us these matching shirts, we had a lot of compliments on them and it was so easy to find each other during the day. Our kids are HUGE Harry Potter fans, so we went to Universal, Island of Adventure to go to Wizarding World of Harry Potter, it was UNBELIEVABLE. The main ride is called "The Forbidden Journey", we rode it 4 times with a wait of 10 minutes or less, the ride is so amazing it is impossible to put it into words. We had some butter beer which we all liked except for Nathan who shuddered after he took a sip. We rode a roller coaster that was for "little kids" and Nathan got off the ride and said "That ride was really fast and really dumb." My kids are thrill seekers, the bigger the roller coaster the better, when Nathan found out he was not tall enough for the thrill ride roller coaster "The HULK" he had a melt down, he was so sad. He wanted to ride it so bad, I don't blame him, it was a really fun coaster.
We loved EPCOT and ran out of time there, they have a ride called "Mission Space", it is a rocket simulator similar to what astronauts would experience taking off into outer space, it was really, really cool. Once was all Kent and I could handle but our kids rode it 4 times. We visited all the countries and sampled food from each, Japan had the best scenery and Morocco had the best food. If you ask the kids they loved France, their desserts were so delicious. When we went to China Nathan ordered orange chicken in Chinese, the manager who was Chinese gave us all free ice cream because he was so impressed. (Nathan is in a Chinese Immersion program) We could have easily spent more time at Epcot. More to come.......
