Wow, she's eleven!

Samantha turned 11 this winter, I can't believe how fast she is growing up. I remember her as my sweet, cuddly baby, who was such a mama's girl and would not let anyone else hold her. She is still a sweet, quiet, kind girl, and here are 11 things about her.

1. She is seriously the sweetest girl ever except when someone is touching her stuff.

2. She plays defender on a Wasatch Competitive team.

3. Her favorite food is Spaghetti and this vegetable/chicken dish I make that our family calls Ratatouille.

4.She is very organized and at school she has the most organized desk and you should see her desk at home, very tidy.

5. She likes peace and quiet so imagine how her and Nathan sometimes struggle. He knows how to push her buttons, it is funny. We always tease her that she better not have any boys.

6. She loves to collect, it started when she was really young with My Little Ponies and now it is Littlest Pet Shop pets, bottle caps, stuffed animals but her most prized collection is her Japanese erasers.

7. Her favorite dessert/treat is homemade banana cream pie, for her birthday this is what she requests and cookie dough ice cream.

8. Her favorite family vacation spot is Bear Lake.

9. She has adult food tastes, she loves Chinese food and Panda Express, orange chicken is her favorite.

10. She loves art and drawing, but she is most talented doing the Etch a Sketch, this past Christmas the etch a sketch she did had a fireplace, tree, presents, stockings, and a menorah. It was amazing.

11. We love that she is very self motivated, when there is a project due in school, she will get it done quickly and before the due date. I am not this way at all so I appreciate this quality.

Winter Fun 2010

Nathan got a suit for Christmas, he was so excited about it and wears it each Sunday. He looks so handsome in it, I can't get enough of him wearing it. Mariah and Savannah had a dance recital this winter and we went to see the lights at Temple Square. Do you live Nathan's bright orange hunter's hat???

She is growing up!

Mariah is seven!!

It has been a long time since I have posted and I promise to try harder to be more consistent. We celebrated Mariah's birthday just after Thanksgiving. This year she got an American Girl Doll named KIT. She was so more excited than I have ever seen her and takes really good care of her. Here are seven fun things about Maia.

1. She loves art and can be found most days surrounded by glue sticks, markers and paper making us some fun creation. In fact about once a week she leaves me special drawings and notes on my pillow. I love it.

2. She has ears like a hawk, you better watch what you say around her because she never ever forgets!

3. Her favorite food is wheat bread, mustard, shredded lettuce, cheese and pepperoni.

4. She loves learning about Jesus and reminds us not to forget about Family Home Evening.

5. She has a lot of spunk and energy, but by the time bedtime comes she crashes hard.

6. She is a natural skier, we took her for the first time this year and she picked it really fast.

7. She is a typical girl (woman) who loves loves loves chocolate. Hershey Bar being her favorite.

Happy Halloween, bring an umbrella!

Trick or Treat night was cold and rainy, we went to my sister's neighborhood for the first time this year and the kids had a good time even though the weather was not the greatest. Kent and Kent went out with their umbrellas and the kids literally ran from house to house, when they came in two hours later they were soaked. My dad was excited when the kids got back because they are very generous in what they give him, he walked away with a huge stash of Almond Joy, Mounds, Butterfinger and Snickers. I asked everyone what they loved getting the most on Trick or Treat night:

Kaycee (Hippy): Nestle Crunch Bar
Samantha (Vampire): Milky Way and Musketeer
Mariah (Witch) : King Size Chocolate Bar
Nathan (Dark Vader) : Skittles
He says he is going to be DARK Vader instead of Darth.





Here are some pictures of our house and the backyard, there is a huge garden which we picked about 15 pumpkins this year, a shed, a swing set and a horseshoe pit. Our kids love it!

Nathan is five!

OK, I can't believe my "Angel Baby" is five, he is growing up way to fast. (Who am I kidding, my kids are all growing up way to fast.) We had a fun little party with Nathan and a few of his friends and another one with family, his favorite gifts were ZHU ZHU pets and Bakugons. We love having Nathan in our family, he brings us so much joy and happiness, you can't help but smile when you are near him.

Five fun facts about Nathan:

**He loves all sports, but his current favorite is soccer and will kick the ball around for hours as long as someone kicks with him.

**He loves scary things like Halloween masks, Scooby Doo and Goosebumps movies.

**His favorite food by far is pizza and can eat more than me when he is really hungry.

**He loves to sing, he has been walking around the house singing "When I wake up in the morning I feel like P. Diddy" it makes us laugh.

**He loves UNO and we play everyday. (Same with Wii Play Fishing, we play this everyday too!)

First Day of School!

Wow, this last month has been a blur, we moved to Centerville (pictures posted later of house) the first of August this is why my posts have been lacking. The kids changed schools, these pictures are of the kids first day in their new backyard. We moved in just in time for soccer season, we have odds and ends like pictures and stuff to hang but we feel pretty settled.

First week of school happenings:

Kaycee- The very first day of school the junior high made an announcement that all lunches were combined, Kaycee did not hear the annoucement so she went to the lunch on her schedule. She got to the lunch room and it was empty, so she went back to her locker to put her lunch away, then she tried to find someone to ask when lunch was. By the time she found someone she felt comfortable enough to ask there were only 15 minutes left of 6th period. She spent the rest of the time hiding in the girls bathroom waiting for the bell to ring. (I laughed and hurt for her at the same time, anyone that knows Kaycee would know she would NEVER skip a class.)



Samantha- Came home disappointed that her new school did not have soccer goals set up at recess and that the boy next to her with a major uni-brow sang to himself when he was supposed to be working quietly. I came into her classroom the first day of school and snapped a shot.(BELOW) She was sooooooooo embarrssed, can't you see it in her eyes. She has been telling me lately that I am so embarrassing.



Mariah- Walking to school no problems, walking home takes her forever, it is a big hill and she is soooooooo tired and thirsty. Samantha says she is never walking home with her again because she takes forever and makes tons of stops along the way. The long days were tough the first two weeks, but she is doing great and likes it. She told me she will never eat school lunch again and I make the best lunches ever. Nathan- Is almost five but has the smarts of a boy much older. He loves pre-school and friends and sports and anything social. This new backyard has been his dream, he kicks balls and catches dragonflies all day long. He has pre-school three days a week and I miss him when he is there. When I go pick him up he can care less about me, all he can think about is FRIENDS FRIEND FRIENDS.

More Summer Fun!

The above pictures were taken boating at Bear Lake, the one of Nathan is funny because the wind was blowing really hard on our way back to shore. Notice the picture of Kent wakeboarding, soon after this picture was taken he fell hard onto the water and really hurt his ribs. He has not been able to golf since this happened, it is really painful and the no golfing thing is killing him. (His wakeboarding days are over!!)

My BIL (Brother in law) Brian has a new hunting dog named Rocky, Nathan loved this dog the entire vacation. He held the dog and even liked it when the dog nibbled on his hand, notice this picture Nathan's hand is in the dogs mouth. (Gross)
Samantha looks cute with her Grandpa Low and it is hard to top the family picture taken before we left to go home. You can't see mine or Kent's face due to the amount of dust and soot.
