Kaycee found a BULL FROG in our backyard today, it was HUGE and gross. They put it in a bucket and covered it with a wet towel and left it on the tramp. As I was doing dishes I watched it bounce the tramp and the bucket. YUCK -- My friend Lori came over and got the frog to put in her mother's pond . I am very happy about this.

Funny Faces

He has started this super cheezy smile in most of his pictures!
Such a cute boy

Nathan and his friend Braden, love to climb our neighbors tree and that is all they want to do when they play, either that or dress up like spider man. (notice the cheezy smile)

Give Me the Fish!

I can't get this jingle out of my head, Nathan is constantly singing it and so am I. This commerical did not air in Utah but was the hottest thing in Pennsyvania. Mike and Brooke showed it to us when we were on vacation in Island Park, I wish they would have never shown me. I can't stop singing:

"GIVE ME THE FISH, GIVE ME BACK THE FILET OF FISH!"

In the commercial watch the guy sitting down eating the filet of fish, he starts jamming to the fish.

Here is the link to watch it!

Fourth of July

For the third year in a row we went to the Walker (Kent's sister) house for a Fourth of July party. We swam, we ate, the kids played games and went down a huge slip and slide made out of high quality plastic. We watch the fireworks in their backyard, which backs to the local high school, we have great views without the hassle of parking and crowds. About 5 minutes into the fireworks I notice Nathan is nowhere to be found, Kent and I start to look for him and can't find him. A few other people start to look too, it is dark out and I start to get worried. The second I walk into the house to look for him I hear these words: "I'm DONE", "MOM, I DONE" "I'm DONE"
He was in the house screaming for me to come wipe his bum, luckily he did not know that he had already missed half the fireworks!
***My favorite picture by far is the one of Nathan holding the sparkler, my sister and I laughed so hard at this picture. His mouth and face are so concentrated on that sparkler.
*** I beat Kent two games in a row in BOCCE BALL, this never happens.
***My brother in law noticed I ate three plates of food and pointed out that I ate more than him. :(
( I disagree, he had def. had at least 4 plates.)

Ragnar Relay

I am so behind on my on my posts, my friend Shauna and brother Mike have informed me I need to post and update my blog more. Three weeks ago I ran in a race called the "Wasatch Back" , here is a brief description according to the website:

"Your relay team will consist of 12 members. During the relay, each team member runs three legs, each leg ranging between 3 - 8 miles and varying in difficulty. You and 11 of your closest friends running day and night, relay-style, through some of the most scenic terrain North America could muster. Some call it a slumber party without sleep, pillows or deodorant. "

The last part made me laugh out loud, I would not call this race a slumber party! I did have a great time, there were a lot of fun times and inside jokes that will never go away. But overall 7 people in a 7 passenger mini-van for 32 hours, was not a good thing. The name of our Van was "We're Pooped", we had a blow up toilet tied on top of our van. My favorite run of the race was my second leg, 7.8 miles at 2:30 a.m. , it was dark and cool, very peaceful. My third leg I was able to run with my sister in law Tara, it was the hardest leg of the race, 4 miles at an 8% grade, climbing about 1700 feet!! The thing I am wearing on my head is called a "BUFF", they are worn on survivor. The chances of us being able to do this together was slim so it was so great when it happened, I could have not done it so well without her.
During the race many people dressed up in costumes and ran, our favorite by far were the 80's girls!! The only picture we got was one of my teammates, with the 80's girls in the background, double click on the picture to see it clearer. The last picture was taken at East Canyon reservoir, we had about 3 hours to rest- yeah right, we were to busy laughing about the costumes we saw and the names of some peoples vans----"VANGINA"

Buffalo, Bears, Battlestar Galatica

WOW, a month since i have posted, there has been a lot that has happened but I will start out one post at a time.
Mike, Brooke and Hayden came out and visited for over a week, it was a lot of fun and I could not stop holding Hayden, he is so cute I can't stand it. He is the best baby and will let anyone hold him for the most part. I miss him so much and so do my kids, they talk about him all the time. I did realize how many pictures i did not take, I relied on Mike and Brooke to take pictures for me, so for more vacations pictures please refer to their blog and not mine. We went stayed in a cabin in Island Park Idaho (four hour drive from Farmington), and drove a few days into Yellowstone about a 25 minute drive to W. Yellowstone and the entrance to the park. The kids loved the hottub and being together more than anything else. We did not have the greatest weather so we were not able to do the rafting like we wanted but it was great to be together and see family. The waterfall pictures were taken at MESA FALLS, outside of Ashton Idaho, def. worth seeing, they were beautiful.

*My favorite new animal is the Buffalo
*We did not see Bears at Yellowstone but Mike and Brooke did and they thought it was neat.
*My parents favorite TV show of all time is Battlestar Galatica, in fact they won't stop talking about it!!!!! hahahaah

Antelope Island - Field Trip of Flies

I have mixed feelings about Antelope Island, the views and scenery are very beautiful but the smell and the bugs are a big issue. I covered Samantha and I with bug spray but I was still scraping the bugs off my neck. The knats/flies are outrageous, my car is covered, as I was driving the seven mile stretch out to the island I thought it was raining but it was not rain it was the sound of the bugs hitting my windshield. It was beautiful weather and the wind was blowing just a bit, we hiked the Buffalo Point trail, that is where Samantha found a cave and we saw a few lizards. On the way to the visitors center we saw a Antelope and it's calf, we then learned about brine shrimp , ate lunch then went wading in the Great Salt Lake. (Samantha did with her friends) I sat on a blanket and talked with other parents. Overall it was great weather and a fun field trip, Samantha wants to go back but we will wait till the fall when it is cooler outside.
