End of the trail!WOW!! Everyday has been action packed from morning till night. We spent half a day sailing to Molokini Crater on a catamaran, our captain was so fun and the ship was not crowded at all. "The sea was angry that day my friends, like an old man trying to send back soup at a deli. "
Seriously the wind was fierce on the way back, he turned off the engine and we sailed all the way to port, it was beyond awesome, we were cruising, I stood on the back of the boat and held on with a lady from Alaska, by the end of the voyage I was drenched with sea water. We snorkeled Molokini, the fish count was not plentiful but the visibility was unbelievable.
We went to a few beaches that afternoon, my favorite was this little beach called Palauea Beach that mostly locals go to, it was quiet and peaceful, the sand was great too.
Monday our kayak trip got cancelled due to wind so we drove to Hana instead, the road is long, twisty, curvy, nauseating, BUT some of the most beautiful scenery I have ever seen. The rainfall has been great this week, so all the waterfalls were huge and overflowing, we could not get into swim at any of the pools at the bottom, there were signs everywhere warning of flash floods and currents. We ended our day with one of the most fun hikes I have ever been on called "PIPIWAI TRAIL, we met a couple from Florida that were super fast hikers like us, we hiked in and out with them, it was so fun. We took pictures for each other, it was great, we saw many waterfalls, a really old BANYAN tree, walked through a bamboo forest, the end result was a gorgeous 400 ft waterfall called Waimoku Falls. To my sister in law Brooke, and my brother Mike, the road to Hana was made for you, there were at least 10 plus falls we did not see!! You must come to Maui with Hayden, you would love it.
