Hi-Chew Addiction

I am addicted to Hi-Chew's.

This candy originated in Japan and has made its way to America. Our friends, the Baileys who live in Japan first introduced me to this savory candy. When we went to Epcot this past May I bought some fun flavors in the country of Japan. Right now at my local grocer I can only find these flavors:

Strawberry, Green Apple, Mango, Melon, Grape, Peach, and Banana.

Melon is my least favorite and Green Apple is one of my favorites.

Each Hi-Chew has about 21 calories so be careful it adds up fast.

Q Family Camping Trip, Seven Peaks, Y Hike

In August we went on a Q family camping trip near Heber, Utah.
The kids loved being together, it was so fun! We went to Provo and took the kids to Seven Peaks Water Park, after the water park we ate some ice cream at the BYU Creamery.  While we were sitting in the air conditioned restaurant eating our ice cream Kent and Kent had the wonderful idea that we should hike to the Y. Well, we did that too, it was almost 100 degrees, what were we thinking?

We are only halfway to the Y, it was about 1.2 miles straight up, with 12 switchbacks.

Bridal Veil Falls, we stopped here after the hike to the Y.
I know the pictures are out of order, but here we are at the top of the Y, look at Mariah's red face. We were so hot but luckily had our swimsuits on.

Poor Kent!! Hiking up to the Y.

6th Graduation, Summer Fun

Samantha's last day of elementary school. :( My baby is in junior high now.

Samantha's sixth grade graduation was in May, we bought a new dress for the occasion and we did her hair so beautiful. They had a sixth grade dance afterwards, they were forced to dance a few dances with the boys. She did not like that part, she said it was so embarrassing.

Kaycee is now 14 !!

Mariah and her 2nd grade teacher, Mrs. Hanson.

My favorite Avenger is Thor, his biceps are huge! I had to get a picture with him. Kaycee and Samantha love Captain America the best.

Mariah and Savannah were in a play called Tangled, they both had a small speaking part, they did a great job and knew their lines and dances so good.

The dog was bigger than Nathan but not as slobbery.

Florida Fun

We drove to the neighboring island, CAPTIVA, just as beautiful as Sanibel.

Mariah got the most burned of all the kids, she had a huge blister on her shoulder it was sad.
At night we would walk the beach and see a lot of little creatures, but mostly crab.

We loved Florida so much and can't wait to go back in a few years!

Sanibel Island, Florida

After our stay in Orlando we drove down to a small island off the Florida golf coast call Sanibel Island, it also known as Seashell beach. I was figuring a few piles of seashells on the beach, I was wrong. There were seashells everywhere, layers and layers. We found so many amazing ones, the one that Kent was most proud of was the FLORIDA FIGHTING CONCH. We went during an off time so we pretty much had the beach to ourselves, the weather was in the 90's and the gulf water was so warm. The kids played and played all day long. The video below is showing the layers upon layers of seashells!! You had to wear shoes at this beach.

More Florida Pictures!!

Photobucket

We met my brother and his family at the three parks in Florida: Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and Epcot. I was in love with holding Amelia with her chunka legs. She was hot and sticky and wanted her mom but I made sure she got Auntie Season time. I would take her from Brooke and run so that she could not see them. It was the only way I got my time with her. Hayden loved hanging and being with his cousins, he was excited to ride a ride in Epcot with Nathan, Kaycee and I. About 1 minute after the ride started he started screaming bloody murder, his parents were in the cart behind us and he wanted them bad!! He was screaming "I WANT MAMA" "MAMA" "MAMA"-THE WHOLE RIDE, it was funny to me since I have older kids and have been there done that, but poor Mike was getting really frustrated and mad.
